    Hi,

I’m using trapcode lux in one of my project. Now i want only some of the lights to get affected by trapcode lux & not ll the lights. I tried moving ‘light layers’ above & below ‘lux solid layer’ but that doesnt work.

Secondly, Lux lights are also visible even if a solid layer or any comp is placed between light & camera. I dont wanna lights to be visible if any object is placed in between but its not happening.

Experts pls help me with your skills.

    Thnx
    Andy

    Andy-

You can select lights effected by lux under the general section of the plug in
modifying the “use lights that are” and “name starts with” Parameters.
Page 13 of the lux manual explains it well

Yes this is a limitation of lux. It has no built in obscuration (ability to “hide” itself behind other layers)

It can be a useful plugin if composited carefully. But if you need more control you
might want look for some volumetric lighting tutorials and work with AE’s built in tools.
