  • Trapcode 3D Stroke – attach ball to endpoint

I created a pendulum with a string and ball using Trapcode 3D stroke for the string.

I wanted to know if it is possible to calculate/pickwhip the string’s endpoint position. I want to parent the ball to the endpoint so that it is attached to the end of the string no matter how I transform it.

Without this value, the string/ball relationship is easily broken when using the bend and transform features of 3D Stroke.

Yeah, that was my 1st thought. I just didn’t know if it could be done with expressions. Maybe Peder Norrby would have to write that into the plug-in for that to be possible?

Maybe you could animate the string first, track its end point, then attach the ball via an expression.
