    Hi,

    I have created a gif animation in photoshop that has a transparent background and want to import it into after effects. However once i’ve imported it to AE there is a background on it!!!!

    any suggestions greatly appreciated!

    When you import does it ask you about alpha settings? Did you open the file back into photoshop to make sure it does have alpha? You may not have your transparency set properly and it is set to use white bg as its matte.

    did you find out how to get rid of the background for your animated gif?
