    Hello,

I am starting the edit of a film in a language I do not speak. Therefore I need to subtitle the rushes from translated transcripts. Then I will start cutting the film and I am looking to know the best way to do all of this. I have noticed with captions on premiere they automatically start at 00:00:00:00 and then keep that timecode even if you move them elsewhere on the time line. This is a problem for me because I am likely to move things around a lot and edit the subtitles themselves after adding them. Once the timecodes have changed I fear I won’t be able to easily find and edit these subtitles as all must be done in the caption window and to directly in the timeline. I need to most flexible option and i fear it may be to use titles even though they are a lot less convenient than captions.

Do people have experience in this? Can anyone advise me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Esther.
