    Hi There

I am putting a venetian blind wipe effect between 2 shots and I have a problem.
Currently you can set the wipe to go left to right/right to left by setting angle to 90 degrees or 270 degres etc but I need both sides to wipe in.

    Any suggestions appreciated

Probably should look for a plugin transition for this… FCP won’t do it anyway very easily… but if you were to export a version going r to l then another version going l to right, you could import those self contained QT movies and do a simple vertical wipe between them or crop one side to reveal the side that wipes in the other direction.

    1. Split both A and B clips close to the transition that covers them (and outside the transition edges).

    2. Make a second copy of the two clips and the transition on the track directly above.

    3. Open the transition above and click on the reverse direction button.

    4. Select the transition and clips and nest them into a new sequence.

    5. Horizontally crop the new clip (above) 50%.
