Transition on Text
I am a switcher from FCP to AVID. I am very used to applying a transition to a title and getting quick results in FCP. When I try this in MC it effects all layers. Even the BCC filters, when used as a transition, effect all layers, or behave oddly when selecting Title-Matte.
Is there an easy way to add a “blur” in effect to my title?

Well, I have managed to do it i think. I have added a quick transition (dissolve) to the clip. Then used BCC with “Title-Matte” to create a blur-in effect. Looks Nice. Once I save the effect to my bin i can reuse this on other titles, in conjunction with the dissolve.
Am I correct in assuming that I cannot edit this title now? I used the AVID Basic Title tool. Not Marquee. The “Edit Title” is now missing from the Effects Editor due to the BCC effect.
