  • Transition indicator on timeline – possible to make it big?

    Hi, guys.

Recently I have decided to jump ship from Premiere Pro to DaVinci, as many people seems to do nowadays, and started a test project to accomodate myself with the software, and some of its GUI seems to be very strange for person coming from Premiere. The snapping is one thing, but more important now for me is the question in the topic – is it possible to make transition indicator much more visible on narrow video tracks (I am always working this way, don’t need thumbnails to see in the video track as more tracks visible is much more important for my projects)? Here is how a transition is NOT visible in DaVinci, even though it is there (see screen1).

And the only way to see it is EXTREME zooming, and even then it is just a tiny line! (see screen2).

While in Premiere the transitions are clearly visible even in a seriously zoomed out timeline (see screen 3).

So – the question is – is it possible to make DaVinci show transitions the way Premiere does? And please don’t tell me to make the video tracks taller and zoom – this is not what I am looking for

Welcome to Resolve, Sergey. I think dissolve markers will be more to your liking if you get rid of video thumbnails in the video track. Click on Timeline Options/Video View Options on upper left of timeline window. Good video about this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcCnn_ITYbg
