How do I transition from 1 still photo to the next still photo in motion?

What type of transition? Fade? Dissolve? Wipe? 3D Spin? Oval Iris?
Basically you will have the first clip disappear to reveal the second clip which would be on the track directly below the 1st clip and overlap during the transition time.
