When dragging a transition from my browser window to my time-line, an X appears on the transition once it crosses into the time-line, hence, not letting me add the transition. I’ve tried deleting my preferences and verifying disk permissions and repairing disk permissions, yet, still have the same problem! Help!

What’s your system and version of FCP? Are these FCP transitions or 3rd party?

MacBook Pro 10.5.6, Final Cut Pro 5.1.2, however, I just upgraded to 6.0, but still have the same problem. I’m going to try and delete and re-load FCP 6.0. Any other suggestions?

Do you have enough handles on the clips you’re trying to add the transitions to?
