IM not sure what your asking. You could make a triangle mask on a layer, then make a circle mask and have the mask shape animate from one to the other. Thats the easiest way, but there are so many ways to do this.

How to make animation between two masks?

Set a keyframe for your first mask shape.
Then move to a different point in time and either reshape the existing mask into the new shape or paste in the mask path data.
