I have never shot long records on P2 cards but I will be recording several shows that are over 75 min so them will fill up (2).

My question is, if you just copy the p2 cards to a Hard Drive will the Log and Transfer is FCP see each card as an independent clip or is there a spanning relationship that most be maintained?

Any advise like “be careful…” or “be sure to…” that you can give me would be appreciated.

If you copy them both to the hard drive, then use the Log and Transfer to load all the card captures from that shoot (two cards, 15 cards..whathaveyou)…load them all at once, then they will show up as one shot, with the (spanned) thing at the end. If you do not have all cards loaded, it will say (incomplete). THis is the importance of the lastclip.txt file.

Thanks, I watch through your tutorial, very helpful, who would have thought to make folders before you start shooting and have people yelling “How long before we are ready to go again!”
