I shot about 40 min worth of footage using an hpx500 at 720p at 30fps

I am using the Panasonic AJ-PCD20 P2 card reader to transfer to my FCP

When i review it in the tranfer window the audio is synced, when I transfer and view, the audio is not synced and it seems to get worse as the clip plays.

What the heck should i do???

I also noticed that when playing back the video on my timeline (set at NTSC DV) it plays back a little “jaggedy”. Is that just because it’s on an ntsc dv timeline playing out to an sd monitor?

    TIA

DO you have Perian installed? That sometimes interferes.

If you shot 720p30…DVCPRO HD…why are you editing on a DV timeline? Yeah, it will look jaggedy…you have now made your nice HD into DV. Don’t do that. You need to be editing on a DVCPRO HD 720p30 timeline.

THAT also might be why your sync is off.

I do have perian installed. I will check that.

after searching through some old posts i am going to see if the advanced pulldown option under preferences in the log and transfer window is checked or not. That may be the culprit.

I threw it on a timeline quick just to view it – i will view it on 720p30 timeline next time. I don’t have to edit it, i was just hired to shoot it and send the footage on a hard drive to the another post house.

    thanks for the quick response.
