I am going to install 2 internal drives in my Mac Pro and I am not sure what information I will need to copy onto them? I currently have one external firewire 800 with all video, pictures, etc. It is also set as scratch drive for Video. The second firewire drive is set for audio.

If I load FCP and bring up my project, then select new internal drives as scratch drives will that be okay?

And if it is, isn’t FCP still using the video files as reference from the external drive? Should I copy the ProRes converted MOV to one of the new internals?

    Thanks

    Brad

Use media manager to move every thing to the new drive.

    Hindsight is always 1080p

Media manager move is more risky than just doing a media manager copy then blowing away the original copy.
