Is there a way to transfer a project from Sony Vegas Pro 9 to Adobe After Effects or Premiere pro CS5? I tried saving the project as .aaf but Sony Doesn’t give me the option to do that. is there another way? Thanks

Under the Save As types you should see Edit Protocol Compliant AAF file and Avid Legacy AAF File. This will only show up in the 32-bit version of Vegas Pro so if you are using the 64-bit version, this is why you don’t see them. Use the 32-bit version to export instead.

So all you need to do is download the 32-bit version. They can both be installed at the same time and you can switch between using them.

Thank you John. I hope I don’t sound too stupid but after I download the 32-bit version how or where do I install it so it does interfere with my 64-bit version?

There’s nothing to worry about. You just run the installer and take all of the defaults. Vegas Pro 32-bit installs into it’s own folder and shares all of it’s plug-in presets and render templates with the 64-bit version. That means that you can make a custom preset in one version and it will automatically appear in the other. Don’t think of it as two versions. Think of it more as running the same version in 32-bit or 64-bit mode because that’s how it behaves.
