    Hi,

    I’ll explain the problem.

I have an old bondi imac that only has usb. And a newer imac which has firewire. I want to be able to do a fresh install of 10.4 and transfer the bondi blue imacs user settings/emails etc, to the newer imac. I know there is an option to do this via firewire on the first startup using the older machine as a target drive. But since there is only usb on the other mac is there anyway around this problem?

You will have to do it all manually by copying the files to an external USB hard drive.
