This is really weird and I have never had it happen to me… Im in FCP and Im exporting 2 mov file with an alpha channel with the animation codec selected the footage unrendered and with millions of colors + selected just like im supposed to. After I export the video files I import them both into AEcs4 and put them both onto a timeline. One of the video files works perfect, Plays the correct framerate and looks dandy while the other file (which was exported EXACTLY like the other file from FCP) plays fine in quicktime and AE but as soon as I put it in the comp timeline (the same comp timeline as the other file that worked) is only plays like 2 or 3 frames a second… no mater what i do it still ends up that way. the audio plays just fine and everything but for some reason the video skips like 20 something out of 24 frames. Has anyone had this problem? what should I do???? thanks!

    could be a couple things.

    1. restart your computer
    2. delete prefs (FCP)
    3. check your render settins in final cut, and make sure your frame rate is correct.

    4. open the video with quicktime and hit command “i” or control “i” to make sure the frame rate is correct.

try those and get back to us.
