Transcoding 5DMkIII footage on FCP 6/OS Leopard
I’m looking for tips on batch transcoding 5DMkIII footage to ProRes on FCP 6.0.6 and OS 10.5.8 (Leopard). Because the new suite of MkIII software requires minimum 10.6 Snow Leopard to run, I’m having problems transiting from my MkII workflow – not able to use the FCP L&T plugins from Canon. I’m also in the middle of a project – so OS upgrade is not an option.
I’m currently experimenting with Compressor transcodes but that’s tedious and not so efficient. Anyone has recommendation of a good app that works on (not Snow) Leopard for this? The ability to keep timecode and would be quite important. Seems like 5DtoRGB is now minimum Snow Leopard as well, so that’s out.
Thanks!
