    Hi.

I’ve been round the houses a few times on this one and still I am not clear as to the best method to finish my projects.

I’ve edited the rushes in their native format with no issues at all in premiere CS5. Had no issues with lag or responsiveness. Now I am preparing to grade the show in Colorista 2.

What I am still unsure about, is whether to media manage the show and conform it all to neoscene for the grade or just grade in native 7d.

The arguments for the conform seem to be based around having 10 bit 422 files to play with, versus the 8 bit 420 of 7d. This of course makes sense even to me.. however.. I read and see a few folks describing this process as unnecessarily destructive as CS5 works in a ‘floating 32 bit’ environment and that i’ll gain nothing on the transcode to Neoscene.

Does anyone have a definitive answer for me?
