I have been working on a short 2.5D animation in After Effects for a college project and have just animated a sequence where a drop of water runs down a street lamp before dropping off. I am trying to make the drop leave a trail of liquid as it moves and am wondering if anyone would have any suggestions for effects I could use or tutorials I can refer to. Thanks

CC Glue Gun would be the place I would start. I can’t vouch for this tutorial(haven’t watched it), but it looks like it might cover some of the techniques you need to get started.
