tracks slipping in multitrack editing
Hi,
I’ve been using Vegas Pro since V8. I’m now using V10.d (recently upgraded from 9) and I am having a problem(s) I have never seen before.
I am editing a play that a local amateur group put on. It was shot with two identical cameras (in DV mode) and I synced them up on the timeline and created a multitrack as usual and began editing.
Now when I go to drag the multitrack a few seconds to the left to close a gap I created by cutting out a long blackout, one of the tracks on the multitrack moves as expected and the other one stays put and extends from that point as if I was dragging it from the edge of the track. It will even wrap around to the end of the track sometimes.
The second problem is also a huge annoyance and has caused me to have to restart a project three times. I get part way through editing and suddenly one of the two tracks in the multitrack simply disappears. It still shows the track as being there (act one left), but all of the video for the entire clip from that camera (a whole act of the play) becomes black. Sometimes, if I am lucky and exit the program without saving and then reopen the program, the track reappears.
I would go back to V9 which never had any problems for me, but I wouldn’t be able to reopen my project in 9 and would have to start from scratch.
So… I know someone must have an idea of what’s going on here… I don’t. HELP! LOL
