    Hi all,
I have a mask on a solid colour and want it to change shape according to where my other layer goes.
I wanted to parent a mask point to another object/null so that when I move the null/object, the mask point follows it and changes the shape of the mask.

    anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

Nope, not really. You can’t attach mask vertices to anything natively in AE. Try to find a copy of Useful Things or get in touch with the guy making Expression Effects (if you can, he’s quite elusive) to get their plugins. This would be your only option. If you want to attach the entire maslk shape, make it a separate layer and use it as a matte.

Thanks, I thought I would just check in case I was missing something.
