Tracking a PiP mask in Resolve
Top of the morning to everyone.
I have a very specific issue that I can’t seem to wrap my head around.
For a client I’m editing a seminar video. I have a feed of the demo PC and I’m putting the speaker on top of it (PiP).
The shot of the speaker is masked and in the bottom left corner.
Now, every once in a while, the speaker leaves his position to go and point something out in the projected image .
At that point, I would like the rectangle mask to pan along with him, but for the PiP to remain stationary in the bottom left corner.I’ve done some googling, but so far I came up empty handed…
Has anyone done something like this before?Thanks in advance for your expertise!

I think i would personally just manually adjust the position of the speaker camera, and add a mask after the fact to keep the mask size and shape the same.
Tracking is going to be troublesome, as the mask has no real relation to the speaker, and trying to stabalize the speaker whose arms, head, legs are moving is probably going to give you a lot of flubbery looking artifacts.
I think this is an instance where the automated method might not be as simple as the manual method.
