Tracking a mask

Sorry I haven’t been around in a while but have bee really busy with a filming project. Plus my 1 PC crashed on me and I had to re-install everything on a new System.
Anyway It’s been a while since I”ve used Vegas (8.0c) Pro. I have a video of a band playing and there’s a sign in the middle of the stage advertising another music group. I want to mask out the wording on the sign and replace it with the name of the group playing.
On the first clip the camera was static so I was able to make the mask and replace the sign wordage. Now on the second clip, the camera zooms in and I need to have the mask follow.
The main video is on Track 6 and the fill for the mask is on track 4. so both the mask on the video as well as the added graphic has to track with the sign.
Tracks 1-3 have logo, lower 3rd and text. Track 5 has to be open for 2nd cam B-roll.
How can I do this? I forgot!

Welcome back Allen… You will have to keyframe your mask (rotoscope) to follow the movement in the Pan/Crop. Zoom into the timeline and add your keyframe to follow the movement. Very long process if you do it right. Unless your sign is a color you can Chroma key it out. I’d make another track on top and use that one for this. I’m sure there is software that can make the job easier but this you can do in Vegas. I have done it to highlight a player on the field.

If you have Boris RED or Boris FX (both plugins for Vegas), you can use their motion tracking ability.
