I have words on one track and video on another.
I have altered the track motion for the words track and now I want to change it but when I input either x 00.00 and y 00.00 the words don’t go back to centre (Yes I’m from UK) and if I put the new numbers I want which is x 00.00 and y -186.12 so the words should come near the bottom of the screen that doesnt work. My present solution is to retype ALL the words which will take about a fortnight as this problem has hit a lot of files.
    Is there another solution?
    Thank you

To reset the track motion settings, simply open the track-motion window, right-click on this window and select the appropriate choice (Restore Box) to reset the window.

Thank you. That was very helpful
However the position is more complicated in that as a newbie I entered the track position in each text media first then I learned about trak motion and changed the position on the track. Your advice has sorted out the 2nd thing I did but I still need to sort out the first thing I did.
    Any further ideas
    Thank you

To reset changes you made to the placement of the text in the window of the media generator, simply open the media generator window, go to the PLACEMENT tab, right click on the little window with your text and choose RESET.
I hope this is what you are looking for.

Fantastic. Thank you very much. This works lovely.
However is there anyway to change this placement on a track level or have I to go into each text media and change it one by one.
Already what you have told me has saved about a weeks work and I have made this mistake on quite a few files.!
    Best wishes

Sorry, I don’t think that you can reset all the generated media together. Unless somebody else is going to teach us how.
But if you also applied event pan/crop to the generated media, then they could be removed all together by the use of scripts.

Just came across this post…if you add a video track above the track with your media generator text and then make the media generator text track a child of that new video track you can then click on parent motion on the new video track and move all of the media generator text on that track at the same time.
    Hope this helps.
