    Hi to all,

I have a mistake with the effect “Track Matte Key”

If I put the video footage on V1 and the Black/white video(for luma matte) on V2
    The effect works good.

But if I change V1 to V2 and V2 to V3 (“Track Matte Key” effect fixed to V3 eyeball off) nothing works. The Video footage become a little bit transparent or like with blend mode applied. But the video footage don’t follow the “luma matte” informations.

    In fact:
I try to build a swipe ring for transition.
In After effect I done a .mov “invigorator” ring video(RGB+alpha rendering)
and a black/white video for the “luma matte” transition(.mov RGB no-alpha rendering.
To done this video I follow this steps:
    – Layer 3: mask
    – Layer 2: black solid (trackmat to layer 3)
    – Layer 1: white solid

All my footages (ring video + black/white video) works great on after effect comp.
But don’t works on Premiere Pro CS3. Impossible to configure for good track matte.

Have you some ideas or tutorial to follow.
    Thanks a lot.

I have found the solution 🙂

The problem came because I have forgoten to use the Fill effect in
After Effects to give the color to the white and black layers. I have
used only the layer color in the layer property.

Thanks Jeff for your help and for this link I don’t know befor.

I done the video used for the “track matte” track in after effects
    by this way:

    – layer 3: mask
    – layer 2: black solid + Fx: Fill (color black)[trackmat to layer 3]
    – layer 1: white solid + Fx: Fill (color white)

    Scuse my french / english
    Thanks
