I always seem to have track matte problems – it is very simple, it should work.

    Video in Track 1
Same video copied to track 2 with a blur effect applied
Made white circle both in the titler, and as both a psd over transparent and as a tga with alpha channel, tried all 3 formats on track 3
    hide track 3
set track matte to clip on track 2, set matte to track 3, no dice.
Set to Matte Alpha, nothing happens. Set to Matte Luma, clip on track 2 disappears completely, mask is ignored.

Am I doing/not doing something silly?

I usually use a matte that is full black and full white and use “luma” as the matte type.

The track matte keyer should be applied to the source on V2 and in the settings, the keyer should matte from V3, alpha or luma, but I believe that it treats white and alpha transparent as the same, so maybe try black and white…or in Photoshop try to cut an alpha hole in a solid black background.

I don’t know…otherwise this sounds correct to me. There aren’t any other effects going on in these clips?

I wish adobe would just give us mask feathering on PrePro. I wonder why they didnt implement it? I’m sure alot of people wanted this feature.
