I’m trying to use the track in AE CS6 (creative cloud sub) to stabilise a sequence and extract a portion of the frame, and I’m just trying to figure out the most efficient and best way to do it.

As an example, imagine a scene with a TV screen in the frame. I want to track the corners of the TV screen, then pin those tracked corners to the four corners of an AE composition, effectively “extracting” the content of the TV screen. Make sense?

I’m just unsure how to approach this. Is there a way to do this all in one action? Or do I need to first track the TV corners, then somehow pin these tracked points to a position in a composition? Or, am I best served by first stabilising the original content (based on tracking the four corners of the screen) then use a separate effect to resize, crop and scale the content from the screen?
