    hey guys,
is there a way to get, for example, the top view in wireframe mode to play in real time? so i can see what the camera and all the nulls and all the layers are doing? this would be a great way to get an overview of camera motion and see if sweeping moves and camera rotation are doing what i want.
currently, as i can see it, top view in wireframe only updates when stepping through the timeline manually. you can’t spacebar preview or ram preview it. it’s quite annoying and i think that adobe should implement this in future.

I have a similar reaction to posts such as this. The solution is simple and sadly subtle.
In the far left of the viewer is a tiny button. Hover over it and the tooltip will say “Always preview this view.” It’s way cool. You cannot render any other view, though, and that’s still too bad.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

thanks so much for that, i wasn’t aware of what that button did. now i can get previews of my wireframes in alternate views after all!
that’s a great tip and i’ll be telling my coworkers about it. 🙂 my workflow should smooth out a little today too!
