Top Light and 12v for HVX 200
Hi there,
I am doing some research on camera top lights and have found that the best ones available usually requires a 12v feed from the camera or battery. Would like to know if any of you guys recommends any top light for cameras. I use a HVX200 and would preferably like to use the same batteries, like you do with Sony camera lights. Any tips on that?Also was looking that there is some converters that would give you a 12v output straight from the batteries you are using in the camera.

Possibly- why not just add a light with its own battery or get a nice big belt or anton bauer brick?

that is a possibility, but as sometimes we do pieces as one man crew the belt or a strap battery would just makes things harder, since camera and sound are already an issue.
I am still looking for this converter that gives you a 12v feed from the standard batteries, with that I could use a K-lite by gekko which is pretty good light for cameras but that requires a 12v power supplier.
If anyone has some other info let me know. Tks anyway Noah.

Have you looked at LED lights? Those are very light(in both senses of the word) and usually come with their own battery.

Yeah Noah, think those are the best choices available. Was having a look on the Litepanels website and there is pretty good options there. Not the cheapest but the best ones Ive seen so far (price vs. quality).
