Hey Keath, what video format are you recording to? I use AVCHD with my HD PVR and it creates .TS files that edit fine in Vegas Pro. Try using AVCHD format.

I do record in that now but when i put it in sony vegas i cant get it to be widescreen. It just stays standard. I would love how to make that wide screen.

What are you using for your project properties. Make them match the source footage:

If you matched the project to the media there should be no black space. Are you seeing this in the preview window? or when you render?

Do you have any codec-paks installed (like K-lite)? This could be your problem.

That’s odd then. I have no problem with audio from the HD PVR on my PC. Maybe you should try re-installing Vegas. The audio should just work.
