    There really isn’t much you can do.

    In X, the Event is the central hub of all work. if you can’t get the event files from the original editor, then the program won’t have the basic structure to link anything to. So any previous projects won’t do you any good.

    All you can really do is create your own new events and build from there.

    Hopefully, the original editor is just clueless and not trying to sabotage you. But the lesson is that in X, the Event is the organizing place, and projects are just expressons of the clips and decisions in your events. So of the two, the Event is typically more important than any one particular project unless you’re trying to operate X like Legacy and doing all your work in the timeline. And if you’re doing that you don’t yet understand X well enough to use it very efficiently.

    That’s what I thought. Oye, such a waste of a day trying to figure this out. Much appreciated though. At least I can make some decisions on how to move on from here.
