    Hello COW members,

I have a little problem that i’m hoping someone could help me out with. When I bring a clip into FCP it comes in with 8 audio tracks. Is there a preference i can set so FCP will only bring in 2 tracks? I know i set which audio tracks i want to capture with the tape but seeing as all of these tapes have already been captured I was wondering if there was a preference i could to do this. Thanks for any help.

You can delete tracks from the file in QT Pro 7. This will even make the files a little smaller.

In FCP you can unpatch audio tracks 3-8 before you bring in a clip from the viewer, that way only tracks 1 and 2 are in the timeline.
