To what other camera can we compare the miniDV recording of the HVX200?

If you’re asking how the DV recording on the HVX matches up against other cameras, you should probably expect the DV25 recording to look pretty much like the footage you’d get from the DVX100B.

Of course the HVX can also shot to P2 cards in 1080P, 1080i, and 720P in variable frame rates.
So it’s got a lot of advantages.

The HVX also has a native 16:9 chip which the DVX does not. In this respect it’s probably closer to an FX1 shooting DV or an XLH1 again shooting DV.
