Hi all,
i wonder if someone could write a plug in that does the following:
Source file is HDV 1080i50
Sequence is 16/9 SD Pal progressivewhat tha plug in should do:
take frame 1 upper field
deinterlace (or better – make the field a full frame by blending, duplicating or merging)
scale to 16/9SD
make it frame 1take frame 1 lower field
deinterlace
scale to 16/9SD
make it frame 2take frame 2 upper field
deinterlace
scale to 16/9SD
make it frame 3take frame 2 lower field
deinterlace
scale to 16/9SD
make it frame 4.
.
.what for?
that’s the best way to get slowmotion out of the fx1…
if you do it in FCP now you get a slowmotion that seems to
concentrate on one field only, and therefor has to calculate
the in-betweens, although this info is available in the other fieldwhat i can do in AE is:
interpret the footage as 12.5fps, put it in the SD Comp 25fps and voila:
slowmotion at the best quality imaginable…this AE-way is not possible in any of the FCP Studio2 Programs…
so, all of you who can do a little programming:

Yes, Peter was the original requester of that plugin. There’s also G Map Frames in the Standards Conversion pack.
