  • Titling in PPCS6

Posted by Alan Balch on September 19, 2013 at 2:03 pm

I’m working on a video that I’ve had to create a lot of titles for and I’ve been using the title tool in PPCS6 to do that.

My producer likes the video but wants to change all the fonts.

Is there a quick way to do this or do I have to go back and change each title one by one.
    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    I wish there was….
but I think it’s a one by one scenario.

    in the future….

you might consider doing this type of thing as a layered Photoshop doc.

    PPro plays well with PSD’s…

and it’s easy to select multiple layers of the source PSD file and change the font….resave….and it’s done….

    🙁 sorry….

    Thanks, Alex!
It actually didn’t take long to change and I’ll use PSD’s in the future.

    remember….not separate PSD’s…

one psd with diff names on each layer….

then you can multi-select the layers for the change…

    🙂

    That makes sense.
    Thanks.

A colleague also recommended I try using an Illustrator file. I’ve never tried that either. Any thoughts?

Not sure IL is natively supported in PPro….

so you’d probably have to 2 step it thru PS anyway…

unless there was a specific look you were trying to achieve….not sure of the point…

    Illustrator flattens on import.
But one can Edit Original in order to make changes.

You could change one title, then save that style in your palette and then just click on it for the subsequent title documents vs having to scroll through the font list time after time.
