Is there a way to have two font colors in a lower third title?

Example “WORD” Can the last 3 letters of WORD be be a different color?

How is this done in Sony vegas pro 13

[Thomas Roberts] “Is there a way to have two font colors in a lower third title?”

The Lower Third is irrelevant if you are talking JUST Sony features. Let’s talk about colouring the actual Text.

    For Sony:-

    1] Legacy Text – No.

2] Title and Text – No

    3] Protype Titler – Yes

However, if yah wanna get tricky with 1] and 2] then you COULD messily devote 2 Tracks to each of the one colour; feasibly you could also devote a Nested Veg to this colour fandango.

Item 3] is yer best bet.

    Oh yes . .

4] Make a TEXT plate in an external Graphics Package and save as a PNG saving the ALPHA (transparent) channel.

I’m not in front of Vegas at the moment, but for 1) and 2), couldn’t you just highlight the first three letters, make them red, then highlight the last letter and make it green. I seem to remember being able to do this, although I’m old and make a lot of stuff up 😉

I recall older versions of text could do this….
    Thanks
