    Hi all and Happy Holidays

This might be a very basic FCP question, so I’m hoping to get plenty of answers, quickly :-)…
How do I create a blue background instead of the black background for white titles? Either scrolling up a blue background or just fading in and out.

I’m going to be really surprised if it isn’t trivial.
    Anyway…thanks to you all
BTW Still working with FCP 5

The black background is the default. If you want to add your own background you can move the text layer up a video track and then add a SOLID from the video generators. Adjust the color of the solid and you should be fine.

This also acts as a still, so you can add opacity keyframes and even ramp effects.

    Good luck,

    CaptM

Thanks you Michael. If I have any other questions I’ll post again, but your answer seems easy to follow.
