titles
Posted by Paolo Mugnaini on October 24, 2006 at 8:23 pmhello i am trying to work with the tile tool in FCP but it creates jittery titles- they all have a jigsaw look as they reveal-
i find this frustrating as in Avid it’s not complicated at all and i can see at all times what the moves are and i can change(modify) keyframes here it seems that you can’t- i know it’s me and not the software but once again i don’t know what to do-
thanks

October 25, 2006 at 8:56 amIs this a DV timeline? Are you judging the results on your computer monitor, or external monitor or TV attached to the system?
DV compresses everything 5:1, and titles tend to look jaggy in a DV timeline. Nature of the beast.

October 25, 2006 at 10:58 amyes Shane, it is a DV file made from a DVD on the timeline- would that be the same reason why it freezes on me while in the canvas?
thanx

October 26, 2006 at 1:15 pmhello it’s acutally not allowing me to even get an in and out cause i can’t scroll. it’s like it doesn’t respond- but the mini dv stuff i have on the same project works fine.
i don’t know why can it be cause i brought it in from a DVD through streamclip?
thanx

October 26, 2006 at 8:52 pmWhat format did you bring it in using Streamclip? Can you try to redo it, making sure you have DV chosen as the format?
