Hello everyone. I was wondering if you could help me out on this. Basically I figured out and tested my credits using Boris Title Crawl for After Effects 6.5 (set to roll) and they look pretty good. However, I would like if possible to have the credit text pause or stop in the middle of the screen once the last credit has been listed.

I had read in a tutorial that percent completion could achieve some sort of pause effect but it would require keyframes. I was able to change the percent completion, but then it changes the entire credits to have that one frame on. I can’t seem to find a way to insert keyframes in After Effects (the only option it gives me is to convert audio to keyframes, which doesn’t help me obviously).

Maybe some of you have a clearer idea of what is to be done. Keep in mind that I have video footage playing in the background behind the credits.

I’ve never used Boris before, but I can tell you that from the sounds of it, it will do what you’re looking for. To insert a keyframe all you have to do is click the stopwatch next to the parameter you want to change then scrub forward in the timeline and change the value for that parameter. AE will “tween” any motion inbetween your two new keyframes. It’s one of the basic functions of AE, there’s not much you can do without keyframing.

I would suggest using the help file in AE before posting on these forums next time, most of the people on here including myself are professionals. And I can tell you that it gets pretty annoying when someone asks something about the basic functions of AE that are explained more than well enough in the help files. No disrespect intended, it’s just annoying trying to sort through all these posts for someone with a valid question who has done the research to solve his/her problem, just to find someone who decides to ask all of us rather than just find the answer themselves in the help file. At the very least, search the forums to see if your question has already been asked. Good luck.
