    hey gang,

i’ve check the old posts and didn’t see this discussed.

since upgrading to fcp5, i’ve been having trouble after titles are rendered. there are green dots around the title and dots and lines usually below the rendered title. this happens on all 5 of our suites (4 are g5s)

    anyone else have this issue?

    thanks,

I’ve not seen this, are you running FCP 5.0.2, OS 10.4.2, and QT 7.0.2? When you upgraded to Tiger, did you do a clean install? i.e. rebuild the startup disks?

What is the source of the title? Calligraphy or the text tools? or?

    hi Jerry,

we are using fcp 5.0.2, tiger 10.4.2 and qt 7.0.1 – i could try upgrading qt. we did not do a clean install, however we have 2 new g5s that had 10.4.2 installed and the problem exists on those as well.

the source can be the text generator, live type or even photoshop elements.

    Trash your prefs.

Make sure you’re running the latest drivers for the AJA hardware. I’d download the 7.0.2 update for QT and install that too.

If trashing prefs doesn’t work, reinstalling is the next step to trouble shoot. Odd that it’s on all machines too… Does this happen in All resolutions?

as far as we’ve been able to tell, its just on 10bit uncompressed. we’ll trash, update and reload and i’ll let you know.

    thanks,
