title editing
hi…
I’m making the titles of a doc. I used photoshop to make the slides and then I edited them on Final Cut, but when I export the video there is a lot of noise in these titles. They fizzle while moving as something in the render went wrong or was set badly. I stopped the video to look at the single frame while the title is moving and the it has a sort of shadow or wake behind it and some parts are missing.
Is there anyone who can help? Thank you.. -

I’m not using any monitor. I use in the Final cut internal window. The problem appears after I export the video in mov, when I watch it in quicktime. When I edit them on final cut there seems to be no problem.

the sequence settings are:
Frame size: 1440×1080 HD (16:9)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD (1440×1080)
Field Dominance: Upper (odd)
Editing Timebase: 25
Compressor: HDV 1080i50
Rate: 48kHz
Depth 16-bit
Config: Channel Grouped -

Quicktime Player does not play in realtime and in addition you’re watching interlaced material on a computer monitor, which is not designed for displaying the interlace properly.
What is your final destination and size for the finished product? If you determine that, then we can help you to make that display correctly, but full-size interlaced video will not display properly in QT Player on a computer monitor.

In addition to what David said, I would recommend against editing in HDV.
You would be better off to capture your HDV as ProRes and then edit, or at the vary least edit your HDV in a ProRes timeline.

It’s going to be projected in an expo hall, from a mac, on a cinema screen I suppose, I’m only making the titles…

I agree with Zane, however all you need to do is go to Sequence>>Settings and change the compressor to ProRes, then re-render.

Can you tell me wich one please? Apple ProRes 4444, Apple ProRes 422 (HQ), Apple Pro Res 422, Apple ProRes 422 (LT), or Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy)?
