Tips for working in HD?
Hi All,
I have been working primarily in SD and will soon be working exclusively in HD formats. I’m looking for advice on working in HD in AE.
I’ll be on an Intel Mac Pro 8 Core with 16 gigs of RAM NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 512MB,

Is the Quadro card just for AE, or are you getting it mainly for 3D apps/Color or similar?
It’s just that AE will not really benefit in anything above a low/mid-range GFX card from what I hear.

Great Machine, that’ll do the job.
only 2 tips:
-Get a fast Raid.
-Work with proxy’s if you use uncompressed sources.have fun !

Your boss sounds ace 😉 I’m struggling to just get a new dual proc and more RAM out of mine! I’d love to drop a grand on a GFX card just like that…
