I have tried to find clear instructions on how to do this but cannot find any.
I have a music video that I want to place certain effects at certain times within the whole 3 min and 19 seconds
I want to add the mercury effect to play at the setting I have it between 00:00 start of video and 00:00:015 into the video then begin to fade into a larger picture the video at 15 seconds after that then in the middle of the video I want another effect to show up ( At this point I mercury is gone completely) , so on and so forth. putting effeects in and taking out til end of video.
Someone please help , my eyes are burning from looking through youtube videos ..

You might try placing your effects on adjustment layers so you can easily manage their timing.
