    Timeline won’t play all of a sudden

    Hi There,

    Things have been going fine for me in Premiere Pro 5.5, but today, when I opened my previously fine project, the timeline wouldn’t play.

    It’s either totally unresponsive, or there is a few second lag before it plays.

    I tried copying the clips to a new sequence, that only helped temporarily.
    I’ve trashed the com.adobe.AdobePremierePro.plist file. That also helps temporarily.

    As I said, this with a project that was playing fine yesterday. No hardware or software changes, no new clips in the project.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Have you tried deleting the media cache from the preferences menu?

    Yes, thanks.

    Starting a new project and importing the old one seemed to have helped.

    Also deleting all Preview Files – and spinning a chicken over my head.

    Can’t wait for CS6.
