  Timeline stops during playback

  Since I upgraded to Express Pro HD my timeline has been stopping arbitrarly during playback .I searched a forum and found that I might not have sufficient memory in my system. So I added to bring it up to 2GB. Still is sticking and stopping. Any thoughts or help?
  Equipment:
  Express Pro HD
  Dual P4- 3.02GHz Xeon
  80GB “C” drive
  nVidia Quadro4 980XGL
  (2) Maxtor 160GB Internal 7200rpm media drives
  (2) Seagate 160GB External 7200rpm drives(USB)
