I’ve got a 15-sec. spot I was working on yesterday (SD 720×486, 29.97FPS). Everything was fine when I saved the project last night. This morning I opened Vegas and what was “00:00:00.00” on the timeline now shows as “01-00:00:67”, and when I step frame by frame through with the arrow key, instead of going “00:00:00.01, .02, .03” it goes “01-00:00:67, .64, .62, .59, .57, .54 ”

What in the world is going on??

    –Kelly

ps: I’ve tried closing Vegas and re-opening, re-booting and trying again. I’ve got Vegas Pro 10e.

Go to File | Properties (Alt+Enter), select the Ruler tab and set your Ruler start time to 00:00:00.00.

    Thanks John, that fixed it.

What do people use “Ruler” for, anyway?

TV Broadcast shows start at one hour 01:00:00;00 and count forward. This allows the bars and tone and slate to start at 00:58:30;00 because they are before the show start. I’m sure there are other uses but that’s what I use it for when finish editing for broadcast.
