guys looking for some help with Premiere Pro CC with clips being replaced on the timeline with other clips

I’m currently half way through an 2 hour DVD edit for a kids charity called Dreamflight & i noticed today that one of the clips i had laid onto the timeline had been replaced by an earlier clip from my rushes….. thought it was a bit strange as i was sure i’d put in a different clip….. I’ve then looked back at a different sequence & pretty much the whole sequence has been turned on its head & is not what i edited.
All the footage is shot on Canon XF105’s & the clips we’re imported in their native mxf format. One specific example i can give is i have 2 clips in my rushes folder that when opened in VLC player, are defiantly 2 different clips but when the clips are viewed in PRem Pro, they appear to be the same clip

I’ve removed the Render files & the preview files but still when viewing in Peem Pro it appears to be the same clip
The project browser even shows the 2 clips having different duration

    File structure

Any help or ideas on how to resolve this would be massively appreciated

so looks like it;s all the”Split Clips” that are affected, annoyingly this was all working fine 24 hours ago but since getting the latest cc update it;s all gone very very wrong 🙁

It’s happened to me too. All my clips’ media has been relinked without asking me. I’m trying to relink but it’s a massive job, the adobe forums and website is down too so I can’t even get official help for a product I’m paying a lot for. This is absurd.

Please PLEASE keep me posted if you figure out what’s wrong/how to fix it. I can’t even use old autosaves as the media has been relinked through all of my saves.

I’m convinced it’s the latest update
There’s instructions on the adobe forums about how to rollback to 7.0.1 so will give that a try tonight and let you know how it goes

Really not looking forward to redownloading the program. I’ve only found other people asking questions.

So the rollback didn’t fix it on it;s own, i’ve also had to delete the additional files that the guy on the Adobe forums mention, unlink the clip, then relink…..
bit of a ball ache as i’ve got over 50 hours off footage to do that with, the upside is my cuts have been restored…

And with the new time splitting, you can’t just go through and relink correct?
