Timeline Clip Names

there’s a menu item to turn video names off & on and another to turn audio names off & on.

cant remember exactly where it is, but i’d look under the VIEW menu.

i tend to open the button list (option J from memory,
do a search for “Name”
then drag the appropriate button to my timeline.

Thanks … went through view and couldn’t find an option that let me take away clip names from timeline. UGH! I’ve done it before and can’t figure it out again. And I don’t want to have to go in as far as I can each time to see it without name. Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks!
