Posted by Michal Bronec on May 4, 2012 at 3:02 amI need to create a timelapse (from series of still images) with dissolves between individual images (something like motion blur). Its possible to do this in Sony Vegas?

May 4, 2012 at 4:05 amGet this file https://download.sonymediasoftware.com/current/extras/vegasscripts.zip
In it you will find RenderImageSequence.js
Execute it from Tools|Scripting|run scriptIt is pretty much self explanatory. Do the math first on how many stills, still interval, length on screen, length of output, etc. Then just stack them up on the timeline by adjusting “New still image length” and “Automatically overlap selected media when added” in the preferences|Editing tab.
That should do it.

Open the script with Notepad, find the line that says import SonicFoundry.Vegas;, change it to import Sony.Vegas; and re-save it.
Also, scripts can only be used in Vegas Pro, not Movie Studio. -
