cow club, im not new to video editing, probably like 3 years into it. obviously with all the researcha and studies ive gotten a little better. one thing i havent managed to completly understand is timecoding. Is it necessary? Are there any good articles online about timecoding? Should I use it for what I do. small commercials for my church? Thanks

I don’t know what you mean by timecoding. Do you mean showing it on the screen or just knowing it is there? Or using timecode to help batch capture?

If you have not used it so far, you probably don’t need to think about it.

What does it do? It helps you keep track of where you are in the timeline, and helps you organize your clips from your tape.
